GiaNina Marie Paolantonio was born on June 10, 2005, in Oakhurst, New Jersey, USA. Raised in a family deeply rooted in the arts, her mother, Joanne, is a former professional dancer who played a pivotal role in GiaNina's early training. Her father, John Paolantonio, is a businessman, and she has an older brother named Joey. GiaNina's passion for dance was evident from a young age, and she began formal training in various dance styles, including hip-hop, jazz, and lyrical. She attended the Middletown Dance Academy and later trained at renowned institutions such as the Broadway Dance Center and ICON Dance Complex. 

Rise to Fame

Broadway Debut

At just nine years old, GiaNina made her Broadway debut as Amanda Thripp in Matilda the Musical. She captivated audiences with her performance from March 2015 until September 2016, marking a significant milestone in her budding career. 

Television Appearances

GiaNina gained widespread recognition through her participation in the eighth season of Lifetime's reality series Dance Moms, where she joined the Abby Lee Dance Company. Her dynamic performances and charismatic presence made her a standout on the show. 

Film and Other Performances

In 2017, GiaNina expanded her repertoire by appearing as Pointe Ballerina #5 in the biographical musical drama film The Greatest Showman, sharing the screen with stars like Hugh Jackman and Zendaya. 

She also performed alongside Mariah Carey during the NBC Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting and was part of Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You tour in New York and Las Vegas. Additionally, GiaNina showcased her talents as a member of the Big Battle Dance Crew on Nickelodeon's Lip Sync Battle Shorties.
